Location Overview
River Magic is intentionally tucked away, surrounded by fynbos, orchards, and red rock hillsides. Because of the remote setting:
- The last sections are dirt roads
- Some navigation apps misdirect when close to the property
- The directions below are the most reliable
We recommend screenshotting the route before you begin, as mobile signal may vary.
Directions
- Follow the main tar road into the Elgin Valley.
- Turn onto the designated dirt road (look for the orchard sign / kilometre marker).
- Continue straight for approximately 4–5 km.
- Keep left at the fork where mapping apps often direct right.
- River Magic will be on the dam-facing side of the hill.
- Look for the sign.
Important: If it has rained recently, the road may be muddy. Most vehicles manage the road fine, but drive slowly and allow extra time.
